Our workshops:
tailor-made to serve you
Indigo Diffusion has set up two in-house units on its premises in Pringy, near Annecy, to provide its customers with a complete solution.
The sewing workshop
With a surface area of 300 m2, the sewing workshop brings together 12 seamstresses specialized in furnishings. These made-to-measure experts work with all types of fabric (wool, velvet, cotton, linen, imitation leather, faux fur...) to produce curtains, sheers, blinds, cushions, plaids, bed runners, bedspreads...
When it comes to curtains, we offer a wide range of designs to suit all tastes and styles. Timeless, Flemish pleated curtains - single, double or triple - provide a neat finish. With ruflets or reinforcing strips, this system can be installed on rails or round bars with rings.
EYELET CURTAINS
Practical and elegant, eyelet curtains give a perfect fall suitable for both heavy fabrics and light sheers. Their space-saving arrangement on the side of the window brings maximum light. Eyelets are available in a range of colors: gunmetal, nickel matte, gold, copper, old bronze... All our eyelets are crimped on reinforcement in our workshop, and using professional pneumatic machines whose high pressure guarantees perfect hold over time.
LINING
Whichever finish you choose, our curtains can be lined for aesthetic or technical reasons. A sateen lining not only makes the fabric heavier, but also protects it from sun and moonlight. With an obscuring or blackout lining, the room is darkened and no light passes through. Finally, thermal linings form a barrier against cold and air infiltration.
CUSHIONS, PLAIDS, BEDSPREADS, BED RUNNERS
Made-to-measure products to complete the decor. Indigo Diffusion's seamstresses produce cushions and plaids of all sizes, in a wide range of colors, patterns, and materials. When it comes to finishing, there's a wide choice: simple, with border, with piping, saddle-stitched for example. All our cushions have zippers and removable covers. The workshop also makes bedspreads and bed runners.
Simple and functional,
ready-made curtains
A dedicated ready-to-install service, created in Indigo Diffusion's own workshop, complements the made-to-measure offer. Curtains are produced in a standard size: 130 x 260 cm, with or without hem, in eyelet (gunmetal or nickel matte) or gathered ribbon finish.
The upholstery workshop
Looking for restoring a bench, renovate a sofa, reupholster a chair or shape a headboard? Our team of decorative upholsterers can carry out any type of work. Whether it's giving a new lease of life to an old armchair or making a new piece of furniture, their know-how can meet any request.
SEAT REPAIR
From stripping to finishing, including carcass restoration, strapping, upholstering and covering, Indigo Diffusion's staff master every stage of seat refurbishment. When it comes to upholstery, they use three different methods: the traditional technique, in which vegetable hair is placed on springs attached to straps and then covered with horsehair; the contemporary technique, which uses synthetic foam with profiles; and the semi-traditional method, which combines the two techniques (the first part with strapping and springs, and the second with foam upholstery). We can also renovate restaurant banquettes by manufacturing seat and back covers on foam, in a variety of finishes: simple, piped, flat, saddle-stitched...
MADE-TO-MEASURE HEADBOARDS
As well as contributing to the comfort of bedding, the headboard is also a decorative element in its own right, adorning the wall and personalizing the ambiance of a bedroom. At Indigo Diffusion, we manufacture made-to-measure headboards in our upholstery workshop. Upholstered, slipcovered, with built-in storage and lighting, in fabric or faux-leather finish...
WALL HANGINGS AND SHEATHED PANELS
Another of the upholstery workshop's traditional skills is wall hangings. This highly fashionable fabric drapes the walls and/or ceilings of a room with elegance, creating a warm and cozy atmosphere. The creation of wall hangings is a meticulous and technical exercise that must be carried out by experienced professionals, like those at Indigo Diffusion. Once the fabric has been assembled, patterns matched and seams smoothed, it's time to put it in place: brace it, staple the batting and install the fabric. This is done using wooden or PVC strips, straight, flat profiles that provide firm, permanent tension for the fabric. Another option is to install sheathed panels. These 6 mm-thick medium elements, with wadding, also have an acoustic function. Available in all sizes and finishes, they form decorative frames to great effect.
